Draft Sketch up 2#

The middle section (showroom) will definitely be changed, I was unsure what shape it should be that is why it is so unusual. I like the top section (Jiro Ono's studio) but I'm not too sure about the bottom section/ datum (Kimura's studio)- I will definitely add a lot more detail and refine it to really portray each client.

Inside the showroom I will have a sushi train for Jiro Ono to serve and display his sushi. While in the centre of the sushi train will be Kimura's motorbikes on display, this allows for the viewers to sit, eat and admire both clients works equally.

Experiment 1: 36 Custom Textures (DRAFT)

I did these 36 texture sketches before the tutorial because I thought this was to be done in our spare time. However finding out in the lecture and tutorial that we were completing this task in class I decided to make these sketches my draft/ planned textures. Also my description of the textures are too simple and generic, so after working with some of my classmates we were able to come up with better words describing different textures.

I have decided to leave my draft textures on the blog so people can compare my final textures to it and so how I have progressed.

EXP 1: Draft Sketchup Model 1#

On the top section is Kimura's studio- the grey cruved shapes are representing roads. I had trouble making them stick up more, ideally I wanted them to be sticking up into the air- once I figure out how to do this I will modify this draft model.

In the middle section is the showroom (on ground level). I put in a glass window at the front to let light into the showroom and also to allow the artists to display there work so everyone can see it, hence the glass window is "exposing" their work.

The bottom section (underground) is Ono's studio. Japanese cusine is arranged in a very precise and neat manner. In particular, sushi is often presented in a clean- cut manner that is why I have created a very uniform and neat working environment for Ono, which mirrors the presentation of his dishes.

I'm not too sure if this is my favourite section drawing/ draft model, however I have created another draft model which I will upload once completed.
